1.
Provide a safe environment at the Can Too Center campus
allowing victims to
personally
rehabilitate and formulate their plans and options for the best course
of actions
for
the victim's goals.
2.
Help the victim begin the healing process. The process may
well be an on-going
struggle
with some problems for many years. Depending on the extent,
severity and length
of time
the abuse was endured. The victim will become stronger through
the understanding
of how
the entrapment engulfed them. If you realize the mistakes that
were made, you
better
understand that you can avoid them in the future.
3.
One of the main objectives is to counteract and reverse the
brainwashing endured by the victim which attributes to the
poor self-esteem that they have acquired. We want to help
the victims see that they are wonderful people that have much to
offer to themselves, their children, families, friends and their
community. By self-esteem being instilled and improved, the
victims start achieving their goals for their future independence.
4.
Although we want to help the victim, the greatest benefit
could be
how we can change the lives of the children and the
parent
from the abuser. This will start breaking the epidemic of
the abuse
cycle. These children need their self-esteem redirected
and begin
believing they do matter and knowing someone will
protect
them. The laws should start protecting them and their victim
parent, this gives them
a safe
and stable environment in which to grow and develop. The laws
protecting these
children
and becoming assistance in their healing should form a new respectful
relationship
between
the youth and law enforcement system.
5. By
helping the children at this young age, the predictable pitfalls may be
avoided of a child being raised in a home of domestic violent
crimes. We will have taken the first step to
breaking the cycle with this generation.
6. We
will analyze the skill level and aptitude of the victim as well as
their desired career goals. Armed with this knowledge and desired
goals the victim is ready to acquire the necessary education
to develop their skills and abilities for the future
independent living, of the victim and their family.
Although Can Too Center's school and training center starts with
the basics, insuring reading, math and reasoning ability to
understand and achieve today's living and career challenges.
Our process further includes exposure to and
experience by basic training of skilled trades.
Therefore, better decisions can be made on a career
and to help with coping of life's problems and challenges in today's
environment of living independent and with family harmony.
